This series is slowly be built and will eventually become a set of twelve.
I feel that chicken has a certain is ubiquitousness across world cultures. No matter our differences, nearly every culture shares a love for eating chicken (save the vegetarians).
In addition, in making this series I aimed to examine many of the tropes of glass making, and overdo them in hopes to weaponize them against themselves.

I have always had a very strong interest in Cosmology. The majority of my evenings away from the studio are spent watching space and physics videos on YouTube for entertainment.
To me this series is about the duality of the absurdism of this moment in time, mixed with optimism for the future.

This is a growing series begun in 2022. The Kentucky Fried Vessels are a bit of a parody of glass artist Dale Chihuly’s Jerusalem Vessels.

This was an art installation made as part of my Masters Thesis in 2018. The installation was also augmented with audio of woodland critter noises, as well as the scent of leaves and pine needles.
If the universe is infinite that would also mean that any point inside it may be considered its center. These squirrels believe in an infinite universe, and to them its center is this bowl of cheeseballs.

This video is a gallery walk through of Disengagement Party: Comic Surrealism, an MFA thesis exhibition by artist Evan Burnette. This exhibition was displayed at Madjax in Muncie, Indiana and was made possible though the cooperation of the School of Art at Ball State University, and the Muncie Arts and Culture Council. The exhibition was on display from April 4-20, 2017, Reception was April 6, 2017.
